Don’t tell me what’s in / Tell me how to write / Don’t tell me how to win this fight… – Dream Theater, circa 2003
I just got my new used iPod touch like 3 days ago, and I’ve been using it as my, well, dedicated music player device. Right now, as of writing this, listening to my “Liked Songs” playlist from my iTunes library. And as of right now, “As I Am” by Dream Theater is playing. Great song; great album actually. I will one day get good at playing an instrument. I’ve been picking up my favorite guitar sometimes and playing around with it. Nothing serious. I usually play one of the 2 Metallica intros I know (which are Sanitarium and One) but will sometimes throw in some messy guitar improvising or something.
Hey you / Out there in the cold / Getting lonely / Getting old / Can you feel me? – Pink Floyd, circa 1979
“Hey You” by Pink Floyd is one of my favorites off of “The Wall” album. And that album is my favorite album. Album album album…
I never understood the album fully, let alone the movie. All I know basically is there’s this guy named Pink that is very depressed from war I believe, and this “Wall” is a metaphor for him blocking off the world and he slowly goes insane or something. I don’t fully know.
Hello? / How are you? / Have you been alright, through all those lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely nights? – ELO, circa 1977
A lot of lonely in that intro line. For some reason the “Doo-wop” part of the song reminds me of Hershey’s Kisses. This song is sad, and sometimes it’s how I feel when talking to my friends. To me, this song represents me trying to have a conversation with my friends and they just “let it ring” or in other words, say nothing.
Well, that’s a lot of music talk, and I really have nothing else to talk about right now. I already talked about the iPod touch, so there’s really nothing else :/
Bye!
